Wooshkalabush!

Wooshkalabush!

Pronounced how it is spelt by the way. I like that word. Wooshkalabush. :)

Anyway, i haven't blogged in a while...and i don't relly know why that is. Mainly becuase i have nothing to blog about. But now, all in the space of a few days, several things have arose that are worth blogging about. And one special event, which i will mention in myn next post :)

But i have shocking news for you all.

Today, in my shockingly boring history double period, i made a freind :)

And his name was Theodore. Named after a Jewish person who was involved in something about Zionism. And i don't have a clue what that is either. But this freind was a peculiar spider. A small black spider, that was extremely fast, and somehow managed to jump.......

But as me and Theodore grew closer, during the hour we knew each other, an evil boy named Krishna doomed theodore's life forever. He visciously threw his daybook at my little friend, crushing it's back leg.

However my little friend survived that attempt on his small life. However, five minutes later, he recieved a crushing blow to his head, turning out to be fatal :'(

After giving him a funeral, he was flicked off the table, in to the unknown.

The only remeberance i have of my little friend is this note.

It reads: R.I.P :'(
Theodore Frederic Wiston Chillston Murdered By Krishnan.

That is now it's name. So tonight whilst you got to bed, i hope that you are all thinking of my little friend, and how his life was tragically cut short by Krishna.

More posts to come soon. About the queen ;)

Dead end!
Gonna die on dead end street.

That my friends, is what we call a song. And a brilliant song at that. In fact its such a good song, that it is going to be my song of the week :)

But don't you think its funny how much music influences our lives? Think about it, music is everywhere; i personally always have a song in my head. And i mean always. Even whilst trying to sleep. And clearly, that fabulous Kinks song is currently in my head.

And isn't it strange how some sogns just seem to be telling the story of life sometimes? Or how we can become so attached to songs? Or even how some of the greatest moments and memories of our lives are based around music? Certain lyrics just seem to connect with your emotions, and feel like they are particularly relevant to you. Amazing how music can do things like that.

But music is everywhere, and life wouldn't be the same without music. Who could live without the blissfullness of 'Waterloo Sunset' by the Kinks or the feel good 'Good vibations' by the great Beach Boys???

I definitely couldn't, and thank god i don't :)

Naive ♪♪

Can i just say how good this song is. Amazing. Because i know you probably don't think that it's that good, but when you actually listen to it, you realise it's amazing! Sure you may have listened to it a lot, but when you haven't heard it for a week or so, and you listen to it again, it's then that you truly appreciate it, when you remember again how good it is. The Kooks :)

Anyways, that was totally not what I had planned for this post, but it started blaring out of the computer and, yeah it's amazing so I just felt the urge to write :)

God, i'm bloody knackered. But by Sunday i think my legs will have fallen off. So far this week I have walked a fair bit, had two football games (which I put a lot of effort into) and a golf lesson. I know that doesn't seem like much, but the football game included about a hour and half of walking. But by Sunday i will have walked over 26 kilometres, and had hockey training plus badminton. Over all thats what like.......over 20 hours of exercise!!! Just in one week! I'm going to be exhausted come Sunday :( And I don't even need to lose the weight; i'm lighter than my twin ;)

But that leads quite neatly onto my main point. Following in my footsteps, sorry our footsteps, a very good friend of mine, who is my twin, just to let you know, and a big fat red bird have also created a blog. (Not being dis-respectful there, her name is Robin) Although it's not a touch on our splendid blog, i guess it is worth a read. Just about. So here is the link : Momby and the Rockin Robin - The "rebellious" days!

So take a look, notice how ours is so much better, and keep reading :) x

Smokers cough.

Don't you just hate smoking?

It's a terrible thing. Stupid, Selfish and Poisonous. Also incredibly stupid. This is another rant. Yes another dull, biased, stupid rant.

But seriously, what are the advantages of smoking? It tastes nice? Chocolate tastes nice. Go eat some chocolate. It's even healthy in small amounts. So the pros and cons of smoking. Let's list the pro's:

1. It suppossedly tastes nice.
2. Relieves stress.
3. Suppresses appetite.

But the best one;
4. It's cool.

But the fact that it tastes nice does not justify smoking. And relieves stress. If your under so much stress that you can't cope, you should get therapy or something. Not mindlessly smoke. And who wants to supress thier appetite? If your otherweight, you lose weight, not starve yourself. And lastly, 'It's cool'. Thats so stupid it's funny. It actually makes me laugh to think of it in that way. What's cool about smoking???

Now the cons of smoking;
  1. Stained teeth.
  2. Stained hands.
  3. Smell like smoke.
  4. Poison your lungs.
  5. Poison your blood.
  6. Poison your brain.
  7. Poison your family.
  8. Poison those around you, including animals.
  9. Makes you lose money.
  10. Gives you a permanent 'Smokers cough'.
  11. Stops you breathing properly.
  12. Unhealthy skin.
  13. Shortens life.
  14. Increased chances of lung cancer.
  15. Kills you.
I could go on all night. In fact someone has. Just take a look at this for endless reasons of why not to smoke.

So really anyone who smokes is an idiot, who must be incredibly stupid. There are no true advantages to smoking. Don't smoke. Don't kill yourself. Don't kill those around you.

Here comes the sun...♪

Yoooooooo!

By the way most of the posts are me, Mercutio, as Bartholomew has sadly passed away.

BeatleMania is back!

All 13 Beatles albums are being re-issued, with the sound having been wonderfully cleared up! Or, as they like to call it 're-mastered'! From the album 'Please Please Me' To 'The Beatles' Also known as 'The White Album', they have all been re-released. So along with The Beatles rock band and appearing on the cover of every music cover, how does Sir Paul McCartney himself feel about it?

NME asked McCartney about his view on the old days;

'I'm very happy with The Beatles' output. That's probably an understatement. I think we were a pretty hot band, really.'
So what is the aim behind 're-mastering' the legendary albums? He said that their aim was to introduce The Beatles' revolutionary music back to the world, and get younger generations listening to it. And with the help of The Beatles' Rock Band game, They are certainly doing that. Another advantage of the Rock Band game, is that the music can now be downloaded, whereas before, they had several issues with downloading The Beatles' music.

In fact, The most recent issue of NME has been completely dedicated to the great band, With their being 12 different covers of the magazine released world-wide, each an iconic picture of one of the album's. My issue has the famous 'Sgt. Peppers Lonely Hearts Club Band' picture on it. And exclusive online, you can buy a very limited 13th cover. The guys at NME have also decided to re-review every album.

So overall, The Beatle's are taking over again, through the work of re-releases, a video game, and not only NME providing 32 pages for them, through appearing on the cover of several other magazines. Rock on BeatleMania!

But seriously, considering that the book is not rubbish, but not the best, they seem to have made the film look spectacular! The newest trailer for New Moon looks really amazing, like they have managed to capture the theme of the film perfectly, and portay it in such a...enchanting way. So here is thew link for it, if you don't watch it or haven't seen the trailer, you haven't lived!!!Click here for the New Moon trailer :)

Aha,  so hopefully you have watched it's amazingness! I seriously cannot wait for this movie! The thought of Rob Pattinson half naked on such a large screen.........sorry, i drifted away there for a minute :) But seriously, this movie looks amazing. I think that the thought of that image will be the only thing keeping me going through school :P That and the thought of not having to get up at seven at half term.

Autumn Almanac ♪

Yooo!

My sister has been reading the blog, and has now told me i need to carry on with the blog...But what should i write about? Ummmm. The weather! Haha, what a cliche.

But seriously, I'm talking about the weather. So, i get back from my holiday, and it's the typical English weather. Dull and drizzly. But this was nice, in a way, because when i went to America, we managed to go in one of the hottest weeks in the summer, so it was quite refreshing in a way. However, it's still rather depressing to come home to a boring, wet England. And also, the last two weeks of the summer holidays, were pretty crap also, in terms of weather. So it was so annoying that when we go back to school it was really nice weather! The sun was out, and it just looked like a nice day. How frustrating.

Speaking of school, I'm in year 10, so i have now started GCSE's in all my subjects. I had already started GCSE in English, Maths, Science and History. And finished R.S. and Citizenship short course. But i think it's really starting to hit how serious these next two years are gonna be. But then again, maybe that's just an effect of the fact that we got an ESSAY the first day back! And for my options, i chose Spanish and Geography. And we were FORCED to do history a year early. But why, oh why did i choose geography? It's the DULLEST thing ever! My class is rubbish! I nearly fell asleep! God, what was i thinking???

Anyways. If you want to air your views about geography and GCSE's in general, feel free to comment :) Goodbye.

Hey again.

So today right. We get our exam results. And i'm not so nervous before we get them. But then we recieve them, read them, and for some reason, i'm more nervous than before. That doesn't make sense. But i think that may be because your nervous about telling people. But you know when you've done good in something, you really don't want to boast, but then there's always that little part of that really wants to tell people, for your achievment to be recognised.

Anyways. Oasis! They have split! Absolute tragedy! Or have they split? That is the question. Because the Galaggher brothers are pretty infamous for their arguments. And after every argument they seem to make it up. But this makes you wonder, have they really split? Or is it just another argument? So i don't think anybody really knows. As for me, i saw them a couple of months before they split so i'm not too bummed. Still a real shame though. But the cover of NME suggests it's permanent :(

So i shall blog soon hopefully. I think Bartholomew has died.

Soup!

Yo!

Neither me nor Bartholomew have blogged for ages. This is because we have lost the enthusiasm. But, to be honest, this is fair enough, because what's the point in writing a blog that like one person actually reads. And she only reads because we make her. But there is no satisfaction when you wrote a good post, but then no-one seems to read it. So please if you do read a post, and like it, write a comment saying it was good, just to let us know :)

So anyways. It's basically the end of the summer holidays. That really does suck. Back to bad, impatient and intolerable teachers. Back to chavy, rude and dumb kids. But worst of all, back to stupid, badly explained, difficult coursework. Yes i can hear you groaning in your seats. School sucks. Though we need to go to school, and though we need the skills it helps us acquire it still sucks. If wasn't for the fact your friends go with you, a revolution would have probably happened by now :P

But i am glad to say, that i had a really good summer holidays. I had the best holiday ever to New York. I had great times with my best friends. I even managed to broaden my music taste. Right now, i would probably say I'm enjoying the old stuff. But i just want to say thanks to my closest friends (You know who you are) For giving me a great summer :)

So New York. What a crazy city! Wait scratch that, What a crazy nation America is! Full of random surprises, lots of strange characters, and definitely full of those stereotypes. Oh, and might i just mention Baseball is amazing! Yeah as you can probably guess, we went to a baseball game! Yankees versus Texas Rangers. It was an amazing atmosphere, and also really crazy. Because i mean, where in the world do the ground staff randomly stop working and doing the YMCA dance with the whole crowd singing along? Amazing. Despite the fact Yankees lost, it was still Awesome. At the bottom of the ninth, it was 5-10 to the Rangers, and the Yankees manage to claw back to 9-10, but didn't quite make it. The tension however, was unbelievable.

So i hope all of you, well the few people who read this had great summers and if your reading this in Australia, i hope your going to have a great summer holiday when you have it.

Tweedle-dum Tweedle-doo.

Hello.

Did you know that 'Hello' is a binary opposite. These are two words, which if we did not have the other, we would not know what one means. For example; we wouldn't know what 'Yes' meant if we didn't know or have the word 'No'. This means they are binary opposites.

So. I didn't know what to write about, so i called this post 'Tweedle-dum Tweedle-doo', therefore it didn't have a particular topic. So i could just waffle on about anything random, like i am now :)

This will probably be the last post i write before i go on holiday. that's a shame, but i cannot wait until my holiday! I'm going to New York! How amazingly lucky! So what i'm most looking forward to when i get there is the food! All that sugar, and all those calories! I'm going to be in heaven!

I love food. And i eat so much crap, but i don't get any heavier. In fact, I'm really light compared to most of my friends, girls included. Even though i don't stop eating. Oh! I just thought of something! In New York they are going to have New York cheesecake! I love that cheese cake!!!!!!!!!!!! Yay!!!!!!!!

Sooo. You probably don't care about this, but I'll tell you any way. Right now I'm listening to The Maccabees. In particular 'Love you better'. The Maccabees are kind of my favourite band at the moment, not overall, here is a list, but it's not definite;

1.Oasis or The Kinks
2.Foals or Friendly Fires
3.Kings of Leon or Kasabian
4.Muse or The Maccabees or The Killers

See what i mean about it not being definite?

But alas, i must say goodbye. I hope you are enjoying your holidays and the summer sunshine. My next post won't probably won't be until September starts.

So long, farewell, Auf Wiedersehen, adieu.

Some interesting facts,

Hey, it's Mercutio.

So. I'm sort of running out of idea's about what to post within this blog. Sorry. This will probably have the consequence of the posts being infrequent. So i am sort of apologizing in advance.

Anyway, some interesting facts for you, straight from http://www.interestingfacts.org/ .

Interesting fact number one.

In the country of wales, there lies a village called: Llanfairpwllgwyngyllgogerychwyrndrobwllllantysiliogogogoch
That's 58 letters. Pretty long, the longest single word domain in the world.

Interesting fact number two.

Some weird person managed to work out that men are actually SIX times more likely be struck by lightning then women. How strange. Probably because men are generally larger then women, still weird though. I feel scared now. Aha, but this doesn't count towards me, because I'm a small boy :)

Final interesting fact,

How cool is this? When a window or glass is smashed, usually by some stupid chav, the crack will move and spread at a rate of 3,000 mile per hour! That's faster than the speed of light. actually i don't know whether it is. Hmmm. Now i doubt the reliability of these facts.

Until next time.

Friends! =]

Heyy,

Just a quick post about friends. Straight forward. Simple. And honest.

Friend’s are those select people you cannot live without. They are people who you can trust, talk to, and share things with. Friend’s very rarely get in arguments and when they do, they should sort it out the same day.

If you would not consider someone to be any of the descriptions above, they are not your friend.

Best friends are those one or two people who you could trust with your life. You should also be able to tell them everything and nothing should be kept from them. If all of these do not fit, you’re not genuine best mates.

Basically, people should not be able to live without friends. Friends are amazing and they are needed.

Don’t have anyone you would class as a friend or best friend?
I’m sorry. But GET OUT MORE
They are needed for life. Some support does the world of good.

Random stuff.

Hi, Mercutio here again, just with some random thoughts.

Earlier my good friend Bartholomew wrote a post about fashion, and i'm not sure whether this post was accurate or not, as i know nothing about fashion. But my sister is doing a fashion journalism course at uni, and she mentioned she had a blog. And i find it quite interesting, as i do not know much about fashion, and her blog is fashion based.

So if you want to check it out, which i recommend you do here it is:

www.fashionfanciessj.blogspot.com

Hopefully you will enjoy reading it.

Anyways time for another rant i think.

So, private education. I disagree with it. I'm not saying that i wouldn't go to a private school if i had the chance, well if i had the chance at the beginning of secondary school, but i find private education very annoying. The educational system is completely biased towards people with a considerable amount of wealth! Anyone who has the money, has the chance to give their child an unfair advantage of a better start in life. Private schools have better facilities, better teachers, smaller classes which make them better and more money. Why is it that clever students who don't have as much money as others, have to go to a worse school, where their talent or intelligence may not be achieved, whereas it would be in a private school? To be honest, it makes me angry that this is allowed to happen.

Anyway, i shall not waffle on too much.

Au revoir.

Books.

Book-book-bookity-book-Books.

It's Mercutio.

Before my inner geek starts talking about books, can i just say how cool a name 'Mercutio' is? It's such a cool name. It's intriguing, and unusual. I wish it was my real name. Could i get it changed? Is that legally allowed? I'm sure it is. Another thing to do before i die.

Anyways, lets talk about books. I stopped reading books as much a couple of months ago. I don't know why. I think it was probably because i was going to bed later than usual, therefore didn't have as much time to read. But anyway, i have started reading again. I just love reading. It lets you forget about any problems you may or may not have, and take off into a different world. I especially love it when you find a book which you just cannot put down. Sometimes when I'm reading a really good book, i wish time would just stop, so i could sit there and read and read and read, all day and all of the night.

So recently i have been reading lots of Nick Hornby. And his books tend to stick to more of a style that is blunt and complete reality. So far i have read 'Long way down' and 'Slam!'. Both were very interesting, very compelling reads. One was about the reality of teenage pregnancy and the other about suicidal feelings. But despite both having a good story line, and being very well written, they were both anti-climaxes. I mean, the endings were just about satisfying enough, but neither had a real punch-line, or a real kick at the end of it. In a way, despite having completely different storyline, you could say that they ended in the same sort of way as each other, in the same sort of style. In my opinion, 'A long way down' was the better of the two, as it was interesting, different and very thought provoking. But next i am going to read 'About a boy', probably his most famous novel, seeming as it has been made into a successful film. Hopefully this won't be an anti climax like the previous two i read.

But the Harry Potter series are my favourite books, as they are superbly written, and wonderfully imaginative. But i shall leave you with that thought. Hasta luego.

Friends.

Heyy.

Its Mercutio.

Friends are incredibly important. They are the people that make our lives worth living, along with family. If we do not have friends, then what do we have? Friends are the people who support us, trust us and love us. They provide the support we need when going through upsetting and troublesome times. Without friends, these times would be much darker and lonesome.

But what sorts out the real friends from the fake friends. The fake friends is defined as, by urban dictionary; 'A person who talks about you behind your back, and tries to be your friend upfront. A person who is incredibly fake, especially when it comes to being a friend and being there for you.'

So a fake friend would be someone who doesn't support you when you need it most; talks about you behind your back; and is only your friend when they want to be. But what sorts out fake friends from real friends is the troublesome times that we all go through in life. A real friend will stand by you.

So throughout life you should always have friends, and be a real friend towards these people.

And in the unwise word's of Neil from The Inbetweeners 'Muff before Mates', but the wise word's of all the chav's and gamgsta's out there 'Bro's before Hoes'. A slightly derogatory term, however you get the general point of it, don't dump your friends for a girl/boy friend. And yes i did write this whilst watching 'Friends' and having just watched 'The Inbetweeners'. I love those shows :) Anyways in those wise words i shall leave you.

Cricket...

Yo, its Mr.Mercutio.

Hehe, that rhymes :)

Cricket. What a strange game. I love to both play and watch cricket, and i am currently watching Hampshire vs. Yorkshire, with Yorkshire 233 all out, and Hampshire 39-0. Hampshire seem to be doing well, so hopefully they will win.

So cricket, it's a great sport, and despite the enjoyment i gain from playing it, i must say it's a very tedious game. Not just because of the stop-start sort of effect it has, but because over how much cricket player's are wusses. I mean the tiny of bit's of rain, and BLAM the players run off, the covers come on and they don't play another ball. How stupid? Why can't they just play a little in the rain? I mean, i play hockey, and we literally play in any weather. Whether it's freezing cold, or pelting it down with hailstones, we still played! So it angers me when they don't play if the conditions aren't perfect.

But the people who must get most annoyed-Whoop SIX, sorry watching cricket, a fine shot i must say,- But the people who we should feel sorry for is the people who pay fifty pounds to watch one day of a test match, then have the whole day cancelled due to a tiny bit of rain. I mean, how would you feel if you spent all the money, then arrived at the rose bowl or where ever, and the smallest bit of rain cancels a whole day of test cricket?

OH! What a match! Came right down to the last ball. Hampshire managed to win after a nail biting last five overs.

Anyway, read the blog. Now. :)

Muussseee.

Hey. It's Mercutio.

Have you heard any of Muse's new stuff? Well here it is straight from their new album 'The resistance':

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=6S83tuz8000 'United states of eurasia'
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ktFGz7vNsOk 'Uprising'

In my opinion, it's no where near as good as any of their older stuff. Compared to 'Absolution' or 'Black holes and revelations' its not good. After all the hype of 'United states of Eurasia' it just sounds like a tacky rip-off of Queens classic 'Bohemian Raphsody'. And after different parts of the song bieng hidden on usb's in six different cities in different counstry's, its a big let down. However i believe that we can't really judge the whole new album those two songs. I'm not saying there complete rubbish, but it's sounding like Muse are breaking away from their classic style, into a new, strange style.

So i'm hoping that the album doesn't follow the line of these two tracks too closely, otherwise we may find ourselves losing the classic Muse sound we love. However despite this, i will probably end up loving the new songs and the new album.

Au revoir.

Harry potter.

Hey. Mercutio, here again.

So i thought i would take this opportunity to say how much i love the series of novels 'Harry Potter'. They are a cracking bunch of novels. Superbly written by J.K. Rowling, made into good movies, which are no where near as good as the books, as usual.

But the other day my friend said that 'J.K. Rowling can't write for ***t'. And this friend is a keen reader,, so when he said this, it shocked and angered me to the core. If J.K. Rowling cannot write for 'S***' Then why has every single one of her books sold millions of copies worldwide, been translated into over forty different languages and topped all the best sellers charts worldwide? But he is also writing a novel. I read just a random peice he'd written during tutor, and to be honest, it was okay, good for anything written our age, but to be honest, it had too much description, and just seemed as if he was trying too hard. So he can't really judge whether a book is good or not.

Anyways must dash, so have a nice day :)

Attention seeking.

Why hello. It's Mercutio, with another silly, pointless rant.

So. Attention seeking. It is the simple demand for attention. It's a very annoying habit some people have. Whether it's intentional or not, it still annoys me incredibly. It's unnecessary. Several of my friends can be attention seeking.

It's like why do you need the attention? Are you a deprived child? Do you get no love, no attention, from your parents?

But the most annoying attention seeking habit; when people say they 'Want to die'. Sure if they have a good enough reason, but a reason that actually has a point behind it, and is not just stupid, they can say it. But when one of your friends says it, it is the most annoying thing ever. One of my friends was in a bit of a mess with his girlfriend. So he kept saying to me 'I want to die'. It annoyed me so much. To be honest, they really need to shut up. They don't have a decent enough reason to 'Want to die'. It's like saying 'No-one in my life gives me a good enough reason to live'. It's pathetic and incredibly attention seeking. Anyone who says this without good enough reason should be ashamed.

Anyway i will be off now.

Random thoughts.

Soo......It's mercutio......with some random thoughts......

Do you ever wake with a song in your head??? The other day i woke up, and within two minutes 'Eye of the tiger' was in my head. But the weird thing is, i haven't heard it for months, so to wake up and straight away start singing it felt pretty weird....Oh and i have to say, a good friend of mine, called spud, did give me inspiration for this litlle thought.

This morning i woke up with 'Apply some pressure' By Maximo Park. a pretty awesome song to have stuck in your head, so i am now listening to Maximo Park, one of my favourite bands.

But the other night it was really strange. The other day, i went round my friend's house, and they wanted to watch Chicago, and seeming as I've never seen it before, i thought that we might as well. After sitting through it, my two friends singing along, and me wondering what was going on, i realised i had thoroughly enjoyed it. But i after i left in the evening, when i went to sleep that night, i had the same line playing over and over in my head. 'They had it coming.....They had it coming' Was just playing over and over in my head, that same line repeated a thousand times. I didn't sleep too well that night. But i did have a good day :)

Umm....another random thought......

Grrrr. Like most of my good friends are going away this weekend. That sucks. Just leaves me, my long lost brother and my twin sister i think. Not that i don't love my long lost brother and twin sister it's just better when all of your friends are around. So i am quite annoyed that several of my friends are going away. Of course, I'm glad they are going to have a nice holiday, but it's still frustrating.

Last random thought.

A couple weeks ago, i couldn't spell friends. But through repeatedly writing about one of my favourite bands 'Friendly Fires' i can actually spell it now. Wait. That's such a stupid thought. And honestly, who cares about me being able to spell? Christ. Sorry.

Actual last random thought.

In case you don't know, a brand new 'Hollister' stores has opened up in our hometown big shopping centre, west quay. And the shop is quite expensive, however the quality of the fabric is very good, making it soft. But the actual shop is ridiculous. They only have dim lighting. It's stupid. You can't see very well, walk into things and say if your carrying a handbag, when it comes to find your purse/wallet, the stupid lighting makes it very difficult. The lighting is disorientating and silly. Now our store is only small, however they may be opening a huge one in New York. Imagine that dim, disorientating lighting, in two huge floors of Hollister. How easy would it be to get lost? Christ, i feel sorry for anyone who walks into that big Hollister store. And another thing about Hollister. This is quite funny. You know that actually pay model's to stand there and say 'Heya, how are you doing?'. And the other day i was paying for something at the till, and my mum said something, and the guy didn't respond. It's like they are stuck to a script. Or robot's.

I shall leave my silly, pointless thoughts there.

Mercutio's music.

Heyy.

It's Mercutio.

Today i thought i would talk about myself, rarther than a random topic i wish to rant about. So, i feel like talking about my music and the music i love.

So right now i love indie. I just love the style, the often poetic, yet erratic lyrics. It's just a style i feel my music taste fits right into to. So i love the 'Foals' and 'Friendly Fires'. Their music is just so energetic, catchy but not poppy, you can dance to it or just listen to it. Both of these bands are brilliant, and are leaping into the limelight, straight from the heart of the underground music scene. I would go as far to say they are two of my favourite bands.

So now a few other band's i am loving. I band i have only recently started liking are 'Maximo Park'. But despite only knowing them for a month or two, they have found their way straight into the heart of my playlist. They have three great album's, and their catchy, energetic beats and lyrics create some great tracks. My personal favourite songs would be 'Apply some pressure'. A great band, who are really under-rated.

And now for some older bands, that i think are pretty awesome. The clash. The mighty clash. This is an old, real rock'n'roll band. Thier music is fun, cool and old style. It's rock and roll at it's best. But a band i am truly in love with. The Kinks. Thier music is perfect. They cover rock, pop and all genre's. The lyrics are funny and witty, and make you feel happy. They are a band i am proud to say i love and so does my fellow kinks groupie. So some band's that aren't so popular that i believe you should check out;

Maximo Park
Maccabees
Friendly Fires
Foals
At The Drive-In
Biffy Clyro

I shall write more about these bands later some time. But i will leave with a divine list, the boasts talent and real music.

Goodbye fellow bloggers :)

Fashion

Hello again, Bartholomew’s post for the day here.

Today I’d like to talk about fashion. Fashion is a bit of a weird thing. It sort of has lots of different things about it. Well to start. Fashion overall is pretty is, to be honest, pretty stupid. Basically, all it is, is some smart-arse thinking of something new and cool which hasn’t been tried before. Some amazing new style. For example, last winter, for guys, Skinny jeans, printed tops, cardigans, canvas shoes and beanie hats were the fashion. I mean. Not just the fashion. It was insane. It was like a new religion. They were everywhere. It’s like that Halifax advert when everyone looks the same, it was like that. You’d go into town and there would be another twenty people who would be wearing the same things.

However, of course, everyone obviously wants to look good, that’s inevitable. However, why not bring a few new ‘amazing styles’ out at a time? Then at least you don’t run up and hug someone who you think is your brother but is in fact just another victim of the trends!

And also, I’d like to say, how ridiculous it is, that before things come into fashion, there so cheap, but then some bright git on a ridiculous salary comes up with it with something else that makes it look really ‘cool’, then it suddenly costs the amount of the world. It’s just stupid. People shouldn’t have to empty their little piggy banks just to look good.

In addition, fashion also links to one of my earlier posts. Fashion makes you look good to IMPRESS GIRLS. Which is not needed. I think people should dress how they want without getting their head taken off! I think people need to chill out a little and stop being sheepish.

Also, things in your wardrobe which you would class ‘hideous’ which you probably would just chuck away if you found, might just come back into fashion again in another ten years! Who knows.

Anyway, enough of my nattering.

Happy reading

Oasis.

Hey again.

Mercutio here, marvelling at the brilliance and pure genius of Oasis.

Today i just wanted to talk about my favourite band ever, Oasis. A couple of weeks ago, me, my sister, and my sister's friend went to see Oasis at wembley. This was my first proper gig, and i have to say it was one of the best nights of my life. The whole event was stunning. The music; Outstanding. The crowd; Crazy. The experience; Amazing.

So, we set off to see oasis on the sunday, around lunchtime. As we got into a busy and congested london, we realised that we were following a limo, whom were also going to see Oasis. And typically, they were a bunch of middle aged, larger lout, beer bellyed men. And every so often they would all run out to urinate agiants the side of the pavement. But they were drinking so much, that they had to do this severeal time's. It was very funny. They must have been drunk before they arrived at the stadium.

Anyway, after following the urinating limosuine to the stadium, we realised that we had missed the first support act, Reverend and the Makers. This was a shame, however, i wasn't too bothered, as i haven't heard any of thier music. But we managed to get there in time to see the second support act The Enemy. The Enemy are a band that i like very much, so to hear they were supporting Oasis it was great. The Enemy played a Awesome set list, featuring all the amazing sutff from thier album 'We'll live and die in these towns', and some of their impressive new stuff from the new album 'Music for the people'. So the Enemy were pretty great, But i think Kasabian were better.

Kasabian are another band i really like, so to have my favourtie band bieng supported by two bands i also really like was just amazing. Kasabian were full of energy, and they really got the crowd going. Their set was awesome, featuring all of their good stuff, plus all the Really good new tracks from 'West ryder pauper lunatic asylum'. Oh, by the way, i have to say that that name is pretty cool.

So after bieng treated to two awesome support act's, we finally realised that we were about to see Oasis. Oasis, a band that has changed british music and a band who are the icon's of generation's. The crowd were going crazy, beer bieng thrown about everywhere. People were standing on each other shoulder's, the atmosphere was just amazing. Then the screen's changed. Then, to a massive uproar from the crowd, me included, Liam Gallagher cockily strode out onto the stage, followed by Noel. Then they just wiped all memories we had of The Enemy and Kasabian, stunning the crowd with thier cocky charm. They played hit after hit, the mosh pit was going crazy, at this point i was covered in beer. They played an awesome setlist, that made that night, a night i will remeber forever. Their set was;
  1. Fuckin' In The Bushes
  2. Rock 'n' Roll Star
  3. Lyla
  4. The Shock Of The Lightning
  5. Roll With It
  6. Cigarettes & Alcohol
  7. To Be Where There's Life
  8. Waiting For The Rapture
  9. The Masterplan
  10. Songbird
  11. Slide Away
  12. Morning Glory
  13. My Big Mouth
  14. Half The World Away
  15. Whatever
  16. I'm Outta Time
  17. Wonderwall
  18. Supersonic
  19. Live Forever
  20. Encore:
  21. Don't Look Back In Anger
  22. Falling Down
  23. Champagne Supernova
  24. I Am The Walrus
My god, was it a marvellous and spellbinding performance that night. Every song had the crowd jumping and drunkenly singing along. My personal favourite's were Wonderwall, always a crowd winner, Champagne supernova, Live forever and the Fantastic, Classic, Outstanding 'Don't look back in anger'.

It was a stunning set, and a night that will be remembered be every single person who went.
Pure Brilliance from Oasis.

Thanks for reading :)

A more....balanced football view.

Hello.

This is Mercutio sharing his views to who ever wish to read them.

Despite my attempt's to get Barthomolew to Not write about so many topics on the same night so that we won't run out of topic's and then just give up, Bartholomew insist's on posting another post on the same night.

Anyway, Bartholomew has written about football. His view's....are unexpected. I agree with part of his views, and highly disagree with the other part. He has displayed some highly stereotypical views.

I think that where he has said 'pretty much all of the people who are seriously into football are CHAV’S' is outrageous. This a very stereotypical view. It's also wrong. I agree a large proportion of football fan's are chav's, however a lot of football follower's are normal people. When i occasionally go to a football game, i see chav's but i also see plenty of normal people who like football. So to say pretty much all people who are into football is an outrageous thing to say. It's like me saying 'All people who are into golf are rich posh nobs'. Not true, and stereotypical.

But i highly agree on what he has said about the finance's involved in football. Ridiculously large amount's of money are spent within football. A couple of week's ago Cristiano ronaldo was sold for £80,000,000. That could buy a country within poverty, such as Kenya or Angola 8,000,000 water pumps. That's an absurd amount of money. I think it's a crime that a footballer can be sold for Eighty million pounds, yet a country is allowed to live in such a state that children die every couple of second's. It makes a mockery of the constitution of human right's.

Now i am off to ze land off nod, so sweet dreams everybody.

:)

Football.

Hey, Bartholomew here.

I’d just like to add a post about sports. Football in particular. What I’d like to start with, is a question. That is ‘Why do people find football so amazing?’ Personally, I really don’t understand. I think it’s a boring sport to watch, and it’s only a decent sport to play if your down the park with your mates having a knock around. So why is it the craze?!

Also, what I don’t understand is why people take football so seriously. I mean. It’s a game. And besides. When people play it at our age anyway, it’s generally not serious anyway. Like at school for example, in P.E if we’re doing football and we have a quick match at the end of the lesson, there will always be that one complete *rse who will have a right go at you for kicking the freaking ball to the wrong person. I think it’s insane.

Also, I don’t know if it occurred to anyone else, but pretty much all of the people who are seriously into football our age are CHAV’S. That word << is the most hated word on this blog and it should NEVER be used. And I reckon, this is why football causes so much violence. It’s stupid right. There are so many fights and brawls because of football. And you know why? Because half of the people who care about football are CH*V’s.

And finally and most importantly, I have to mention the money. There are thousands of people in the world who live in poverty. Every day they have to walk miles to get clean water, and ten pounds can create a new water pump in a deprived community in somewhere like Africa for example. But no. Selfish people who take clean water for granted have to waste money of stupid pointless sports. If one day someone turned the tap on and dirty water came out and they had to walk miles to get clean water, what would they think? They would think its insane wouldn’t they. Well that’s what people in Africa LIVE WITH. So why waste millions of pounds on someone who can kick a ball well when a million pound could save hundreds of peoples lives?!? Seriously, someone please answer this because personally, I do not understand.

I hope your enjoying the blog so far and thanks for reading. Please be honest in any comments made.

Bartholomew's views on racism.

Hello again followers.

Yet another aimless yet annoying subject to talk about. Oh well. This is the third one so you must be getting used to it by now.

Basically, what I want to talk about is how the Asian’s can call us ‘White boys or Gora’s’ or anything apart from our names and we do nothing. Everyone just laughs. Well it’s been three full years of it now and people are starting to get tired of it.

However, that’s not the worst of it. Personally, I don’t mind being called ‘Gora’ or ‘White Boy’ normally as long as it’s not in an aggressive way. But, the thing that gets right on my tits is how the second we call one of them ‘Paki’s’ or some kind of offensive name, they get all defensive and they won’t take it.

Well I’m sick of it. But half of the reason nothing gets done about it is because teachers don’t know what it means! I mean, teachers are supposed to be intelligent, and they must have heard the word ‘Gora’ enough times and in the right context to work out what it means. But no. Nothing gets done does it. Because their fat. FAT I TELL YOU!!!!

And also, this isn’t so bad, but sometimes when some of the Asian’s get told off, they say it’s because they’re not white. I’m sorry. That’s just stupid. However, it’s quite funny to see the teacher’s response to it. Yeah that’s the end of my nag.

However, do not get the wrong impression from this post. I am totally AGAINST racism and I think it is wrong and it should not be tollerated.

Mercutio's view's on teenage romance's

Heyy

Now we have just created this blog. And already, we have two follower's! And i know that's only two people out of over six billion people that live within our world, however, it still feels good to know that you have people who follow your blog. Even if it is just two people. So thank you those two people who follow our new, freshly created blog. :)

Anyway, back to the purpose of this post. So as you can see in the lengthy post below this one, the lovely Bartholomew has aired his views on teenager's and their romance's. I agree with part's of that and disagree with other part's. So i have decided to post my views on the same topic. And also, as you may or may not know, most probably the latter, Bartholomew is in a great relationship with someone. So this means his views could be biased. So i shall offer my views, as i am single.

Yes teenage boy's do worry about girl's. Although i believe these worries to be unnecessary, i do believe they are a inevitable part of teenage life. Every boy will like a girl or boy, then worry about whether that person likes them. It's human nature. You can't change that.

And i agree with my good friend Bartholomew when he says 'It seems insain that guys would go to the extremes to impress a girl, when were only teenagers and the chances are, relationships wont last that long anyway!'. Boys shouldn't try too hard to impress girl's. They should stay true to them selves's, not change to try and impress girl's so that the girl will like them. Because if you change your personality so that a girl likes you, then surely then don't like you for who you truly are?

My friend also said that we are just teenager's. I agree with this. This means that we really shouldn't worry so much. It doesn't really matter so much if the girl or boy you like doesn't like you. If they don't like you for who you are then they do not deserve your love. We are young. This is the time where we learn and grow into who we really are. So don't worry. Live care free and happily, whilst you still can.

So enjoy the blog, check for new posts, and live happily :)

Bartholomew's views on teenage romance's :)

Hello again.

Bartholomew here.

Im sorry everyone. But this has to be said.

Now were all teenagers right. And 'Hormones are racing everywhere' as the old gits would say. Well everyone has different opinions on this subject.

This blog is mainly for the guys, but because girls are nosey buggers, they will probably end up reading it too.

I know it seems stupid, but all guys our age seem to be talking about is girls. Girls come into every conversation. This is a very hypocritical blog for me to write to be honest, but I still need to talk about it. I don't know if girls are the same about guys but it seems girls are at the forefront of every teenage boys mind at the moment. In fact, I can't think of a single guy at the moment who isn't slightly bothered by girls.

It seems insain that guys would go to the extremes to impress a girl, when were only teenagers and the chances are, relationships wont last that long anyway! Don't take this the wrong way. I'm not against girlfriends at all, but I think it's wierd that how every single guy thinks about how they could get a girlfriend, while every guy with a girlfriend is thinking about their own love life.

But I do see why guys want girlfriends. Aswell as it make them look good, it is very nice to have someone who you can trust and care for. But I think guys struggle getting girlfriends sometimes. In my opinion, this is because girls are too damned fussy! I mean, if someone really likes you and you can't think of any good reason not to go out with them, then why not? Who knows. You might end up in the best relationship you will ever be in. Also, its not going to be the end of the world if you get dumped because we are T-E-E-N-A-G-E-R-S.

In addition, what really annoys me about people, is how they are so nervous about telling someone about their feelings for them. There is no chance someone is going to get into a relationship by not telling the person they like what they think about them. And if you get told to get lost, who cares! Refering to the earier comment. Were T-E-E-N-A-G-E-R-S. So for your own sake, be honest about your feelings about someone, who knows how it might turn out.

One last thing, it annoys me how much attractive girls use their looks in a WRONG way. I don't think it matters how someone LOOKS, i think it should be their personality which counts. Obviously someone doesn't want to go out with an ape, but still, looks shouldn't matter as much so just be more open-hearted and stop going for people because of their looks because you will loose all of your decent friends and you will be left with all the fake, attractive girls who don't give a damn about personality.

Thanks for reading.

Bye, =]

Hmmm. First blog :)

Hey

My name is....well.....Mercutio ;)
This is the first ever time i've written a blog. So i don't really know what to write. But i shall start off by writing a bit about myself. I'm a teenager. I'm ginger. I like music. My favourite sport is hockey. And i love my friends. That's all you really need to know for now.

So it's the summer holidays. After months of waiting, dreaming of the summer holidays, we have no idea's of what to do! The summer holidays have probably been the only thing keeping us going through school. So to have no idea's what so ever to do, it...to be honest, it sucks! Because we are trying not to spend lots of money. But that leaves us with a problem; what is there we can do that uses little money but provides lots of fun, or entertainment? We only really ever go to the park, to the common, or into town. So we are becoming quite bored. Oh by the way, just in case it sounds like it, we are NOT chav's. 'We' bieng me and my friends.

I hate chav's. I mean, what do they add to this world? Violence, Drunkeness, Teenage pregnancy's? So nothing. Chav's are what make are street's unsafe. They make people feel uncomfortable in their own street's, their own neighbour hoods, their homes. They hang around on street corner's. They stare at people until that person look's back at them, then they mouth off 'Wot da **** are u lookin at mate?' They actually specifically go out and look for trouble. It doesn't matter who it is, what age they are or what state they are in. Chav's are like vultures. They prey on people, don't mind who they are, whether they are ten or eighty, they will be violent and abusive towards innocent victims of our public.

I will leave you with that thought.

Byee :)

Hello there fellow readers =]

I hope you approved of my Collegues views above. Well my name is Bartholomew and Mercutio is a jolly good chap. Similarly to Mercutio, this is also my first time blogging so its bound to be pretty boring stuff may i say. I shall start my own section of the blog by talking about myself. Doesn't everyone enjoy talking about themself? Well. To start with. Im almost in my mid-teens and im currently enjoying life! I play golf alot and I play piano. I have many rather amazing friend-lings who I would trust my life with and I very much enjoy being out with them and just doing anything we wish. However, things do get rather repetitive and get very boring after a while.

Mercutio's post above has mentioned Summer and all the excitement about it so In this post I will start talking about winter. Alhough summer is very good fun, and gives lots of things to do, I do also very much like the Winter. I think its the most amazing time of year when everyone is happy and everything is very romantic. Everyone seems jolly and its just generally a very nice time of year. Regardless of the weather, people seem to have so much fun around eachother and everyone is in a good mood. However, the weather in winter isn't much different to the summer sometimes, but people in Southampton must be used to that. Now i've mentioned winter and its feeling, i must mention it's music. I mean. Christmas music is simply amazing. Really. Its just happy and gets everyone in a good mood. Christmas time is also a very good time for parties and holidays.

On the subject of holidays, were only a week or so into the summer holidays. I don't know how other people feel about it, but it annoys me how everyone has to go away on different days. It's impossiable to have a party or do something really good with all of your friends when half of them are away. However, Summer is a very good time of year for camping and camping can be rather enjoyable at times. I have met some rather amazing friends through camping.

Thats enough aimless nattering for me for one day then i think.

However you've not got rid of me for long. I vill be back.
